it has been a while that i am actually awake and at home on a saturday morning sitting at my table. there is a sense of surreality as i am actually typing this.
it has been a while that i actually played the acoustic playlist on my itunes because for a while i just could not bear to hear acoustic music.
it has been a while that i actually crave for some human contact and not want to be by myself. i guess coming back from japan made me kinda insecure, since i was surrounded by people everyday.
the trip was great. it was really fun. though moving from Osaka to Tokyo meant that I had to experience two extreme weather conditions. It was hot in Osaka, there was an heat wave and when i got to tokyo it was raining the whole time. anyway, i negotiated the tokyo subway by myself! haha and got myself to Shibuya and Harajuku on the last day of my trip.
i figured that i am a lazy bum. why? because on the shingansen to Tokyo, the train was held up at one of the stations because of torrential rain, but guess what miche slept through everything. haha like for five hours on the train, all she did was to sleep. then on the flight back to singapore, the carrier had some problems and the take off was delayed. haha but guess what for the whole hour and a half that we were stuck in narita airport, i slept and i had no idea taht we didnt take off at all. when i woke up and looked out of the window i was like, er, why isnt the plane moving. wait a min! i am still in tokyo!
haha. oh well. i was treated like a princess for the whole time i was there. because i was the youngest and i look the closest to them. they were kinda amused by this strange little chinese-looking girl from singapore who in their own words"you speak english really well!". haha was asked a couple of times if i would marry a japanese man and by day two earned the moniker of "sake girl". all i had to do was to open my mouth and say that i wanted to something and "pop" it will appear in front of me! hahaha. i was so amused by it. not that i abused it, i tried to pay for myself alright, but they just wont let me. the guys (okay i met like what 4 japanese ladies on the trip. you know how happy i was to see ladies?!!!!, because i was surrounded by japanese men the whole time. not that it was bad. haha cause they were rich, single and mostly good-looking guys who take over the family business.) bought me all kinds of japanese food to try. miche had to do silly things like call out random names of japanese food (that i actually do know of, like udon, ramen, tamago, shisamo etc etc) all just to amuse them and then they tried to teach me how to speak japanese which failed of course. and i told them about akira kurosawa, takeshi kaneshiro, takuya kimura, ayumi hamasaki etc etc. it was the inner bimbo speaking.
OH OH!!! i got to play with FIREWORKS! like real fireworks that you see the japanese play on tv! hahah i was so happy. oh well.
anyway, my parents are in taiwan and i am going to fix myself some lunch before i head out to meet char and ming for the field trip thing and head home to do work
again. sighs.
