havent been blogging for a while. hahah the last day of attachment was yesterday. heh. my last week has been spent sleeping. let's see, tuesday afternoon, i slept from 6 pm to 7 am the next morning. the first thing my mum said to me as she woke me up was, eh you havent had your dinner. my parents are so weird huh. yes so that was that. stayed back in school till 5 plus on wed cos it was a long day. had to cancel training with the girls. hah. thursday was racial harmony day in school. had to wear something ethnic hah found something vaguely that. so yeah. watched the upper secondary assembly, haha they were rather spontaneous.

friday, last day of school. brought the video camp to school and took random clips of the kids around the campus. bought sweets and presents for the kids as well. some of the kids were so excited to get our presents it was nothing much as well. just a ferro rocher and a bookmark. they were happy to get it. felt really touched. some of the kids told us to come back and teach them. haha my friend "genie" had calls throughout the whole day, haha Mr Ch'ng hi, thank you Mr Ch'ng. i was so tickled. oh well. i came home and fell asleep at 4. guesss what time i woke up.this morning at 10. dead tired. dead asleep. haha i am such a pig huh. haha. oh well so here i am blogging and watching tv. i am craving for so nice savoury food. hahaha. oh well.

lala.. going for church later in the afternoon. doing the revelations reading. lala...good to be back after 2 weeks.

miss ya guys! hope to see you soon! =)

i have had recurring dreams of balls rolling down a slope. haha no thanks to the physics questions i helped lexie typed the other night. never in my life had i felt so stupid. there i was typing away, knowing the words but not in the least understood what on earth the questions were asking for. haha.. how duh right..oh well.

taught a normal tech class. for it quite enriching and enlightening. it aint as bad as i thought it would to be. but the kids are nice and i have good friends in the staffroom. yup yup...

miche is somehow blissfully happy these few days.

P/s: Jia You! Jia You! i know you can... hugs will be there behind you all the way. my prayers will be for you till the end.

i am actually having a good time in school. not as problematic as some the rest are doing. i actually do like working with normal stream students. i dont know if it is noble or what. but i guess someone must work with these kids right.

"Look What You've Done"
Take my photo off the wall
If it just won't sing for you'
Cause all that's left has gone away
And there's nothing there for you to prove

Oh, look what you've done
You've made a fool of everyone
Oh well, it seems like such fun
Until you lose what you had won

Give me back my point of view
'Cause I just can't think for you
I can hardly hear you say
What should I do, well you choose

Oh, look what you've done
You've made a fool of everyone
Oh well, it seems like such fun
Until you lose what you had won
Oh, look what you've done

You've made a fool of everyone
A fool of everyone
A fool of everyone

Take my photo off the wall
If it just won't sing for you
'Cause all that's left has gone away
And there's nothing there for you to do

Oh, look what you've done
You've made a fool of everyone
Oh well, it seems like such fun
Until you lose what you had won

Oh, look what you've done
You've made a fool of everyone
A fool of everyone
A fool of everyone

the original ending of HG Wells War of the Worlds was that the humans woke up one morning and realised that the aliens were not longing waging war. so they all decided to troop to the enemy base and find out what happened. there they saw the cacuses of the aliens, all of whom are dead. why cos they caught the flu. how duh right. oh well.

(1) it is funny how they never stopped to think that it might be a ploy by the aliens to lure them to the alien enemy base.
(2) how cool is it to die cause you got the flu. apparently the people of that age thought it was the coolest thing ever.
(3) aliens looked more like giant octapus and squids rather than really aliens
(4) sometime in the 1960s (i am not too sure abt the date), american radio broadcasting station decided to do a on air reading of the novel and made it sound so real that well. americans suffered from mass hysteria and mass trauma. either way, you get the drift.

London is to host Olympics 2012. o_O was hoping that paris would have gotten it instead. urgh. now we have to see more of the beckhams. bet he cant go back to madrid. haha..

oh well. i learnt a new game today. inspired by my fellow scholar who is on attachment with me. it is quite a cool game. so intellectual. haha.. what to do GEP kids what. haha.. =)

signing off. i am very sleepy and tired actually. oh well, miss you guys. hope to see you and catch up soon. in the meantime, take care of yourselves and be good children who do your homework and study for your exams. (hint hint) hahaha

i am appalled.

the curious incident of the dog in the night time by mark haddon isnt a children's book. it is one of the most intellectual and cleverly written book i have ever read. pls to say that it is a children's book to be found in a kids' library is an insult to the value and merit of the book.

flowers for algernon isnt a science fiction book. there is hardly anything really science fiction-ish abt the book besides its background!

heart of darkness has nothing in common with the Romantics really. conrad was more of a modernist.

urgh... some stuff i read and heard people say abt books..

Sunday, July 03, 2005 @12:14 PM

i am sleepy. am at 0053 B-17's place! hahah...sam isnt around. he is somewhere in church. so is adriel and jake and yvette. am going off to meet david for lunch before he flies away again to CAMBRIDGE! i feel so stupid all of a sudden. too many smart friends. shall go and bawl my eyes out in 0053 B-17's room now and lament my stupidity.

miche signs off for now. aufwiedersehen

@12:37 AM

just came home from the Frontliners anniversary thingy. actually i seriously only wanted to attend the service and go home. little did i realise that the service would end at 10. hah oh well, it was a fun service.

Thanks to auggie, al, paul, cow and rachel for your speedy reply. i was kinda inspired to do origami poetry with the class. but i suck at things like that. oh well.

took the bus home. the other one. this time i travelled the tpe/sle to yishun and woodlands. the last time was eunos, geylang, sims, bukit timah and bukit panjang. in time to come i shall know how to take the bus to anywhere and everywhere in singapore. how cool huh.

i love taking bus rides. i find it therapeutic. though sometimes i think ridiculous thoughts. i am rather weird i have to admit.

oh well. there are loving souls and beautiful souls in this world. there are playful souls and cheerful souls. some are just plained blessed. mine? haha i am a dysfunctional soul. =P

miche says good night and good bye.

Saturday, July 02, 2005 @12:42 AM

the conscious and subconscious of one's mind is the same and yet different entity. at times, when the intellectual mind is given to too much rationalizing and intellectualizing it is good to separate the conscious self and take a step back to examine one's thoughts and emotions in retrospection.

a certain sense of detachment and examination brings about a different perspective to the many things one think and consider. i find it interesting to refer and examine myself in a third person perspective, to remove myself from my shoes and see myself from another's point of view. at least i can get to examine my thoughts and emotions from afar. see them more clearly. try to understand and assess all of these.

i find comfort and solace in the little quiet moments at the weirdest places like the empty busstop in the middle of the night, the beach as sun sets, by the side of the canel, the quiet basketball that belongs all to me or the empty park bench. the peace and solitude at these times are so surprisingly soothing that it truly calms my thoughts. it makes me sad at times and i do get depressed. yet each time, i walk away wiser and clearer of my thoughts. i know i will never get all the answers to my questions and i will never find all the things i am seeking for. but i do know that things might for that one moment seem better. many of the most crucial decisions in my life have been made at these places. small insignificant places, life changing decisions.

dont you wish that somethings, you dont think at all.

Friday, July 01, 2005 @3:01 PM

painting anything and everything is a therapeutic process. it soothes your soul and calms you mind. the joys of watching something old being cover up is sad and at the same time some form of carthatic release.

was painting rens room yesterday. hah was rather fun. doing it again later tonight. oh well. need some therapy huh.

anyway, went for church meeting in the night. we ended at 11 hah. i was bored so i took the bus all the way from tampines back to choa chu kang. from one interchange to the other. quiet bus rides makes you ponder and it is amazing how some solitude on a public transport vehicle allow you to clear up some thoughts in your mind.

I must really thank God this week. some guy who lives two blocks away from me on the scholar attachment was posted to BPGHS and i wasnt. this is truly a blessing. really. i cant bear another second in that place. moreover having to work with the very person and people who made my life hell. oh well.

anyway, check your email these few days can. i am going to send something to a few of you. a little request for help. =) thanks.

P/S: i think you should invite them to the anniversary. why not? i think they will enjoy it. =)

Time after Time

Lying in my bed I hear the clock tick,
And think of you
Caught up in circles confusion -
Is nothing newFlashback -
warm nights -
Almost left behindSuitcases of memories,
Time after -Sometimes
you picture me -
I'm walking too far ahead
You're calling to me,
I can't hear
What you've said -
Then you say - go slow -
I fall behind -
The second hand unwinds

Chorus:
If you're lost you can look
- and you will find me
Time after time
If you fall I will catch you -
I'll be waiting
Time after time

After my picture fades and darkness has
Turned to gray
Watching through windows -
you're wonderingIf I'm OK
Secrets stolen from deep inside
The drum beats out of time

Chorus:
If you're lost you can look
- and you will find me
Time after time
If you fall I will catch you -
I'll be waiting
Time after time

You said go slow -
I fall behind
The second hand unwinds -

Chorus:
If you're lost you can look
- and you will find me
Time after time
If you fall I will catch you -
I'll be waiting
Time after time

Time after time
Time after time
Time after time
Time after time
