it is kinda scary when you know someone who had a near death experience. the dragonboat that capsized in cambodia had my classmate from history class in it. when the news was first received, i was wondering if he was affected, don's subsequent sms confirmed that ching wei was indeed on the boat but thank God, he is fine. but i am sure ching wei isnt feeling any good about the loss of his five team mates. an unfortunate freak of an accident and five lives are lost like that. but i am glad that ching wei is safe and sound.

on a much much much lighter note, this is what we do when we are bored in class.

this is the real life story of a single hamster hero - HAMLET HAMTARO.

Hamlet Hamtaro - a hamster of japanese american descent, a heir to the hamster shogunate lives in a hdb flat somewhere in the northern part of singapore. Hamlet hamtaro inhabits a cage of 1 m by 1 m with his wife and ever-increasing brood of children. each day as Hamlet Hamtaro wakes up, he wonders to himself when will this emotional imprisonment end and when will be the day when he actually gets something to eat and not have to fight with his children over food. In fact, he can no longer remember who is his child and which of them is his wife. not that it matters to hamlet hamtaro, because his wife doesnt mean to care.

so each day, hamlet hamtaro trains for the day when he can perform his great leap to freedom, when he can finally set himself free from the chains of his ever-expanding brood of children. the day when he can finally taste the sweet air of freedom and not that rancid smell of urine soaked wood shavings. so each day, on the great hamtaro wheel, hamlet hamtaro practices, sometimes he looks so manical that no other hamster dares to go near him.

one day, the opportunistic hamlet hamtaro finally sees his chance to liberation and freedom. as his owner comes to feed him, he decided that for his own sanity and freedom he shall bite the hand that feeds him. as his owner flinches back from the pain and leaves the cage door momentarily open, hamlet hamtaro runs with all his might and jumps with all the strength he could gather and leaps out into the vast balcony which houses his house. finally hamlet hamtaro is free. today, hamlet hamtaro lives in total liberation, though occassionally he misses his brood of children.

so what have miche been up to lately? well besides spending time in class daydreaming and not paying attention, she has been wishing that school will just end like that. well technically, it is going to end in two weeks time. so yay. miche has one month of break of which three days will be spend at a camp. dont ask why.

miche realises that she has not watched F.R.I.E.N.D.S or C.S.I on her comp for a long time. see what school does to her. didnt go to the gym much this week, my body was aching too much for me to want to exercise. the night cycling was fun but it was so painful last sunday.

miche went night cycling with kj, mich ong and imad last sat. it was kj's birthday by the way. we rented bikes from east coast park and cycled to vivo city to meet shawn. from vivo, we biked down to holland v for dinner/supper, then down holland road to orange grove (where at the road junction we witness a cab passenger vomitting in a cab and attempting to run away and the cab driver caught hold of him and demanded that he wash the car.) from there we went down stevens road to newton, down novena, up towards thomson and to lower pierce. from there it was ang mo kio bishan braddel potong pasir paya lebar geylang and kembangang and back to east coast. we ended at 5 am. ahahah. but it was really great fun.

on monday, when char, cheryl and miche were at raffles place mrt waiting for the train to arrive we encountered what could most probably be the worst communter behavior and this beats screaming wailing children on the trains. as the train pulled into the station, as usual people standing at the doors will rush to the front of it, giving alighting passengers no space to move. then there was this groupof 9 or 10 people who decided not to board the train because there was no space to seat despite the fact that the train was on 75% full. so they just stood RIGHT in front of the train doors blocking everyone's way. so miche went "excuse me" because the three of us would like to get onto the train and they turned and stared at us as if we were kicking up a fuss for no reason. at that moment i wanted to kick someone.

on thursday, miche and char saw a plus sized woman wearing a tunic top that ended slightly below quarter thigh and no she wasnt wearing any bottoms. it was a totally britney moment. later at esplanade miche encounter a pudgy guy in a tight red jersey tee and yellow-orange hot pants. she blames don for pointing him out to her. and at plaza sing it was a girl in bright pink boots. sighs. and miche got flashed quite a couple of times this week and met really annoying people at thai express on thursday.

so yeah, i am supposed to be doing work, but my insomnia is making me think of everything else but work. but i do suppose that i will get down to work in a bit. =)

joshie and jake, it was good talking to the two of you today. hope to see ya soon!

to the rest of you still taking the As, GOOD LUCK!

wish miche luck!

random thought of the month:

between bulimia and anorexia, which will you rather suffer from?

anorexia, because bulimia costs money, cause i have to buy food to eat and puke it all out. might just as well throw money down into the cistern.

hurhurhur.

now now, this is an excuse or a justification for you girls to stop eating.... looks pointedly at certain people.

@1:19 AM

i should be in bed like now, given that i only slept for 2 or at most 3 hours the previous night and only fell asleep at 8plus 9 on saturday morning, hence missing the Arena auditions. but oh well, what to do the crazy insomnia bug has decided to hit me for no apparent reason, but thank goodness this week has a public holiday, so yay, i guess i could get some rest in between.

missed gym for three days in a row. feel unhealthy. yeah yeah i am kinda manical about this whole gym thing. but there are reasons behind it i guess.

was good to see david on sat. haha i see him twice a year. but i do enjoy the times i meet him. which reminds me, CHEAM whatever happened to the monopoly party?

anyway, got this in the mail. thought it was something i would like to share. a timely piece to share when miche is at a point of her life when she has decided that some friendships are not worth the time, effort, sacrifice and agony. some people are not worth the lengths that she is willing to go for them because efforts are never reciprocal. not when to them, miche is dismissiable or forgettable, or reschedulable because really she doesnt need friends if friends are all like that. for the rest you are dearly loved and appreciated. so here.

People come into your life for a reason, a season or a lifetime,
When you know which one it is, you will know what to do for that person.

When someone is in your life for a REASON, it is usually to meet a need you have expressed.
They have come to assist you through a difficulty, to provide you with guidance and support,
to aid you physically, emotionally or spiritually. They may seem like a godsend and they are.
They are there for the reason you need them to be.
Then without any wrongdoing on your part or at an inconvenient time,
This person will say or do something to bring the relationship to an end.
Sometimes they die. Sometimes they walk away.
Sometimes they act up and force you to take a stand.
What we must realise is that our need had been met, our desire fulfillled, their work is done.
The prayer you sent up has been answered and now it is time to move on.

Some people come into your life for a SEASON, because your turn has come to share, grow or learn.
They bring you an experience of peace or make you laugh.
They may teach you something you have never done,
They usually give you an unbelievable amount of joy
Believe it, it is real. But only for a season.

LIFETIME relationships teach you lifetime lessons,
things you must build upon in order to have a solid emotional foundation
Your job is to accept the lesson
love the person and put what you have learned to use in all other relationships and areas of your life
It is said that love is blind, but friendship is clairvoyant.

THANK YOU FOR BEING A PART OF MY LIFE
WHETHER YOU WERE A REASON, A SEASON OR A LIFETIME.

miche kinda hopes that japan was just a dream and really nothing did happen.
